Research interests: companion diagnostics and drug-diagnostic co-development projects in oncology

Dr. Jan Trøst Jørgensen holds a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science and a Ph.D. in clinical pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen. He has more than 30 years of experience in research and development from biotech and diagnostic companies as well as academia. Currently, he is the Director of the Dx-Rx Institute, Fredensborg, Denmark. Within the last 15 years, his focus has been on companion diagnostics and drug-diagnostic co-development projects in oncology. Dr. Jørgensen is a strong supporter of a more individualized pharmacotherapy, and he has published a number of scientific papers on companion diagnostics, drug-diagnostic co-development as well as on precision and personalized medicine. Furthermore, he has been quoted as inventor or co-inventor on several patents and patent applications. He also serves as editorial board member and referee for scientific journals and research foundations as well as guest lecturer at various universities. Dr. Jørgensen has also acted as editor and co-author of books and special focus editions for scientific journals related to topics such as companion diagnostics, drug-diagnostic co-development and precision medicine.
