Ning Mao, MD

Dr. Ning Mao was born in Shangdong (China) on January 22nd, 1984. He has taken the master degree in Medicine in 2010 and the specialization in Thoracic Surgery in 2013. He has finished the surgical training in Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University. He currently serves as Chief attending physician of Thoracic Surgery at Yongchuan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (China).As regards the scientific activity, he has published more than 10 original articles in SCI-indexed peer-reviewed journals. He also participated in several city-level or state-level medical research project.

He has a certain influence in the field of three-dimensional CT digital anatomic reconstruction, which is useful in thoracoscopic precise segmentectomy for early lung cancer including ground glass nodules (GGN). Many reports and demonstrations have been presented at the academic conferences in Chongqing and round China by Dr. Mao.

The main areas of research include precise and curative minimally invasive surgery (VATS) of pulmonary, esophageal and mediastinal tumors in accordance with the essence of ERAS, especially in 3D-CT digital simulation and pulmonary GGN.
