Kevin R. Krull, PhD

Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, USA

I am a full Member of the faculty at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, equivalent to a Full Professor at other academic institutions, and hold the Endowed Chair in Cancer Survivorship. Building upon my background in cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuropsychology and biological psychology, I have developed an independent translational research program that focuses on identifying factors associated with long-term central nervous system outcomes in survivors of childhood cancer. My research includes examination of biomarkers of central nervous system integrity and chronic health conditions that impact brain development and function, and how brain function interfaces with behavior in social environments. My protocols include lifespan approaches, following survivors through active therapy and well beyond middle age. My research also includes interventions aimed at improving neurocognitive function in long-term survivors. In addition to these clinical research efforts, I engage in institutional and national leadership activities. I direct the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab and serve as Chair of the Neuroscience Working Group within the St. Jude Cancer Control and Survivorship Program, as well as Chair of the Psychology Working Group within the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study. I serve on the Steering Committee for Survivorship and Outcomes within the Children’s Oncology Group (COG). I have also been a regular member of multiple study sections within the NIH Integrated Review Groups.
