Jiaquan Zhu, MD & PhD

Cardiovascular Surgeon, Associate Professor, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine

Dr. Jiaquan Zhu was born in Jiangsu Province (China) in 1981. He has taken the MD & PhD degrees in Clinical Medicine in 2007. He specialized in cardiothoracic surgery at Xinhua Hospital after graduation. He did his research fellowship (2012-2013) and clinical fellowship (2013-2015) in the University of Toronto. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.

As regards the scientific activity, he has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his research at several international and national congresses, including AATS meeting and AHA meeting. The main areas of research include basic and clinical research related to cardiothoracic surgery. He focuses on research in congenital heart disease.
