The paper “Aerobic exercise reverses the NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammasome/5-HT pathway by upregulating irisin to alleviate post-stroke depression” (doi: 10.21037/atm-22-5443) published in Annals of Translational Medicine in Vol 10, No 24 (December 31, 2022) (1) has been retracted at the request of the authors. Recently readers have pointed out that there are overlap figures between our paper and another article titled “Long noncoding RNA HOXC-AS3 interacts with CDK2 to promote proliferation in hepatocellular carcinoma” (2) published by unrelated authorship. We have immediately investigated the manuscript and confirmed that there are errors with the figures. Therefore, we no longer have confidence in the conclusions in the manuscript and decided to retract this article. All authors agree with the retraction of the paper. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
