The article (1) titled “Notoginsenoside R2 induces colonic microvascular injuries via regulating the Rap1GAP/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway” (doi: 10.21037/atm-21-5898) unfortunately contains an error in Figure 5. The images of Figure 5A selected to represent the expression of Rap1GAP in pHUVECs regulated by Rap1GAPover plasmid were incorrectly included.

Figure 5 of the original article:

The revised version of Figure 5, containing the correct data for the expression of Rap1GAP in pHUVECs regulated by Rap1GAPover plasmid in Figure 5A, is shown below.

Figure 5 Overexpression of Rap1GAP and NGR2 inhibited the cell proliferation of pHUVECs. (A) The expression of Rap1GAP in pHUVECs was up-regulated by Rap1GAPover plasmid; (B) the protein expression of Rap1GAP, TSP1, PI3K, phospho-PI3K, Akt, and phospho-Akt in pHUVECs treated with VEGFA165, NGR2, and Rap1GAPover plasmid; (C-F) the cell viability, cell proliferation, and concentration of intracellular pyruvate and lactic acid in pHUVECs treated with VEGFA165, NGR2, and Rap1GAPover plasmid. (G) The expression of Rap1GAP in pHUVECs was down-regulated by Rap1GAPsi plasmid. The data are means ± SEM of 3 independent experiments performed in triplicate. One-way ANOVA and Student’s t-test (*P<0.05, **P<0.001 vs. control).

This error did not significantly affect either the results or the conclusions of the paper.
