Retraction to: Ann Transl Med 2021;9:930.

The article titled “VEGF gene transfection restores the angiogenesis of oral submucous fibrosis in mice” (doi: 10.21037/atm-21-2213) published in the Vol 9, No 11 (June 15, 2021) issue of Annals of Translational Medicine in (1) has been retracted at the request of the authors. Due to an oversight, we found that the wrong pictures (Figure 5A-5C, Figure 4A) were selected for the “Results” section of the article. After careful deliberation and discussion, we have decided to retract our paper. All authors agree with the retraction of the paper. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
