HLA-B*58:01 is not the only risk factor associated with allopurinol-induced severe cutaneous adverse drug reactions

Allopurinol is the main cause of severe and life-threatening non-immediate cutaneous adverse drug reactions (CADR) worldwide (1-4). There is therefore an urgent need to know the main risk factors in order to establish preventive measures and reduce the number of severe cases.
