The hemodynamic effects of norepinephrine: far more than an increase in blood pressure!

Abstract

Vasopressors are commonly used to correct hypotension. Among these, norepinephrine is the preferred first line vasopressor. Compared to dopamine, norepinephrine improves outcome in patients with septic shock (1) and in cardiogenic shock (2).
