Abstract
In patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention for ST-segment myocardial infarction (STEMI), acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs in ~11% (~33% when presenting in cardiogenic shock), as compared to ~3% in patients with stable angina (1).
