Abstract

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a relatively rare but lethal disease. While the lifetime risk in the general population is 1.3% with a median age of 65 years, women with a BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation have a lifetime risk up to 40% and 18% respectively and develop EOC at a younger age (1,2).
