The article entitled “Active surveillance of ventilator-associated pneumonia in the intensive care unit and establishment of the risk grading system and effect evaluation”, published in the issue 22, Vol. 7 of Annals of Translational Medicine (1) is being retracted on the ground of plagiarism of the article titled “Risk scoring system for ventilator-associated pneumonia in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU” published in the issue 20, Vol. 28 of Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology (2). The editors and publisher have confirmed the retraction of this paper.

Ethical Statement: The authors are accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
