ATM is sponsored by the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University
On June 24, 2015, Annals of Translational Medicine (Ann Transl Med; ATM; Print ISSN 2305-5839; Online ISSN 2305-5847) and the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University established strategic cooperation relationship (Figure 1).
As the main part of the cooperation agreement, ATM will be sponsored by the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University starting from June 24, 2015 to Jun 23, 2018.
ATM is one of the international, peer-reviewed Open Access journals published by AME Publishing Company, featuring original and observational investigations in the broad fields of laboratory, clinical, and public health research, aiming to provide practical up-to-date information in significant research from all subspecialties of medicine and to broaden the readers’ vision and horizon from bench to bed and bed to bench.
Since launched, ATM has gone through fast development as it was published quarterly (Apr 2013-Dec 2013), monthly (Jan 2014-Mar 2015) and biweekly (Mar 2015-).
From Sept 2014, ATM was indexed in PubMed, and then endorsed by the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF), the Ming-Yi Medical Charity Foundation of Guangdong Province and the International Inspire2Live Patient Advocates organization.
The funding from the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University is a big step forward for ATM to better develop a solid academic platform to facilitate research projects. The Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University was established in 1935. Today, it is a tertiary general hospital that providing multidisciplinary services including pre-hospital emergency care, medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, nursing, and rehabilitation. It is also an affiliated hospital of Nanjing Medical University.
Adhering to its motto of “Benevolence, Honesty, Skillfulness, and Excellence” and with an mission to constantly upgrade the hospital based on talented professionals, quality services, and reform and innovations, the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University has become a healthcare landmark in Eastern China due to its tireless efforts in medical technical development, discipline construction, personnel training, and hospital culture construction.
The hospital has 38 clinical disciplines and 46 clinical departments; also, it has 7 medico-technical disciplines and 15 medico-technical departments. It hosts 1 key discipline of Jiangsu Province, 15 key disciplines of Nanjing City, and 1 key discipline of Nanjing Medical University. The departments of neurology, respiratory medicine, oncology, gastroenterology, general surgery, urology, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, critical medicine, rehabilitation, anesthesiology, and laboratory have high social profiles and provide a vast array of services to patients from Eastern China.
The Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University looks to open its new buildings in 2016. Till then, the beds in both Eastern and Western compounds will reach 2,000. The hospital will continue to provide affordable tertiary healthcare to the public with improved and upgraded environment, facilities, technology, and cultures.
Through the close cooperation, we expect to work with the Affiliated Nanjing Jiangning Hospital of Nanjing Medical University to bring ATM to a new height.
