Dr. María González Cao is the Chair of the Melanoma Medical Oncology at the Institut Oncològic Dr. Rosell, University Hospital Dexeus in Barcelona. She works in immunotherapy research, particularly for challenging cancers with limited treatment options and special populations, including patients with HIV. She is actively involved in investigator-initiated clinical trials and leads several translational research projects, focusing on immuno-oncology and targeted therapies in melanoma and lung cancer.

Dr. González Cao serves as the Scientific Secretary of the Spanish Melanoma Group from 2010 and is the principal investigator in numerous Phase I, II, and III clinical trials. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and presented at numerous international conferences.
